At Rock Mountain Christian College, we believe that strong attendance is vital to every student’s academic success, personal growth, and spiritual development. Consistent attendance allows students to fully engage in lessons, build meaningful relationships, and participate in the rich learning opportunities our college provides.
Parents and carers play an important role in supporting this commitment. It is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure that students arrive on time every day, unless there is a valid and unavoidable reason for absence.
Reporting an Absence
If your child is unable to attend school due to illness or another legitimate reason, please notify the school as early as possible on the morning of the absence. You may contact us by:

Timely communication helps us keep accurate records and ensures the safety and wellbeing of every student.
If a student is absent and we have not been informed, our Vice Principal will promptly attempt to contact parents/carers to confirm the reason for the absence.
Discussing Attendance
We understand that attendance concerns can arise for many different reasons. Parents/carers who wish to discuss their child’s attendance are warmly encouraged to contact our Vice Principal, who is available to offer guidance, support, and solutions.
Requesting Leave of Absence
Leave of absence may be approved only in exceptional circumstances. We ask that parents/carers review our Leave of Absence Policy before submitting a request.
